Coyote Canyon was written in the studio based on a vague idea from the summer and autumn before. The break in between the second and third verses Benjamin supposes to iterate metamorphosis.
lyrics
Coyote Canyon
oh you're a coyote and oh I'm a dog
in coloured sands that will not blend
at the river river's end
at the river river's end.
here in the alder trees with stones in our socks,
the addiction sun raises hands to lend,
yes we find there is a trend
at the river river's end
at the river river river river's end
oh I'm a coyote and oh you're a dog.
it makes no kind of difference
just where our bones are sent
at the river river's end
at the bitter river river's bitter end.
