Moth Dust was written during the winter, late 2009.
lyrics
been searching for my self love
been squawking at the fools and
the lovers who tell me what to do.
been seeking my suffering,
been sorry for nothing while I watch for
the solitary truth.
but when I'm riding
that horse snap.
while I'm walking and I tell her
the things I say I don't say them
not for nothing at all.
I fear death, I don't fear death.
this moth dust is falling in a panic
of words that have no sense.
been watching for nothing
been dragging my fingers in
cold stream not wondering
where it flows. who knows?
but when I'm lying
I snap back
while I'm thinking that I'll tell her
that there is meaning in the falling dust forever:
that it falls
that it falls and it means nothing
that that it falls and leaves
the silly monkey wondering how it goes.
